Senators Praise FBI's CAIR Freeze
Three United States Senators have written to FBI Director Robert Mueller praising a decision last year to cut off contacts with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and inquiring about other groups linked to a Hamas-support network in the U.S.

Republicans Jon Kyl of Arizona, Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, and New York Democrat Charles Schumer signed the letter dated Tuesday, which asked Mueller for additional information about the decision. . . .

Three is not a landslide, but it sure is better than none. How about we all call or email our senators and ask them to send a positive letter to Director Mueller, too?---DOB

Arizona Senator Asked to Invite Muslim Reps to Balance Anti-Islam Film
"It seems that Senator Kyl is oblivious to the fact that there are Muslims in his own state who will take offense at this cheap anti-Islam publicity stunt designed to promote a person who is under indictment for inciting religious hatred," said CAIR-AZ Executive Director Ahmad Daniels.

"Geert Wilders is just one of many self-promoting Islamophobes traveling the world in search of attention for their hate-filled views. We ask that Americans of all faiths ignore Mr. Wilders, thereby depriving him of the attention he so desperately seeks. Wilders has the right to spew his hate, but he does not have the right to a taxpayer-funded platform in the United States Congress." . . .

These guys just never let up, do they? You would think that our elected officials would begin to note this behavior.---DOB

Hate Speech At San Francisco State University
The fragile ceasefire between Hamas and Israel in the recent Gaza incursion may have brought a tentative peace to that region, but on campuses in California -- the veritable ground zero of anti-Israel sentiment in the academy -- the debate over the 60-year conflict has gained a new, and more insidious, momentum as student demonstrations, protests, and denunciations of racist Zionism, a "brutal occupation," and "genocide" of Arabs were heard on campuses worldwide.

The virulence of anti-Israel and anti-Semitism at The University of California, Irvine campus, for instance, has been so flagrant and endemic in recent years that it actually prompted an investigation by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights . . .

US says jury in Fort Dix plot case was right
Government prosecutors are defending the conviction of five Muslim immigrants who conspired to kill U.S. military personnel.

The men, whom prosecutors say targeted the Army's Fort Dix in New Jersey, have all asked a judge to overturn the jury's verdict, claiming it wasn't supported by the evidence.

Color me unsurprised that they claim the jury was wrong. Have you noticed that every time Islamists get in front of American juries, the Islamists lose? This requires, of course, a change in tactics by the Islamists.---DOB

WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY FACES FREE SPEECH SCANDAL: University Rescinds Grant Approved In Writing
A speaking event to be held at Western Michigan University on March 10, 2009, which includes two former terrorists, Walid Shoebat and Kamal Saleem, who speak regularly on university campuses about the threat of Islamic terrorism, has been threatened with cancellation due to the pulling of grants, which were allocated by the university.

Based on the letter signed by the WSA committee of appropriations by default the University appears to be deliberately attempting to stifle the free speech both the organizers - The International Conservatives, and the speakers. . . .

Right Wing Outraged At Chas Freeman's Appointment To Head National Intelligence Council
Last week, Laura Rozen reported (and Politico today confirmed) that President Obama has appointed Middle East Policy Council President Chas W. Freeman to become chairman of the National Intelligence Council — which is responsible for producing national intelligence estimates.

However, Freeman’s views have the right wing outraged (yet some are afraid to go on record) and have “provoked a fierce behind-the-scenes lobbying campaign to torpedo the appointment.” . . .

Leftwing in a tizzy. The right-wing might not have to go behind the scenes if the media would open the window on the foolishness of putting the wolf in the henhouse.---DOB

Obama AWOL on terror war
President Barack Obama’s record in battling terrorism has proven so weak that one wonders if he really takes the issue seriously. [No, I don't wonder. I'm pretty sure he wants us to throw in the towel.---DOB]

Since he has taken office, the president has:
• announced closure of Guantanamo;
• declined to prosecute the mastermind behind the USS Cole bombing;
• closed all overseas CIA interrogation centers;
• appointed an attorney general and Justice Department officials on record as opposed to the use of ‘‘enhanced’’ interrogation techniques in terror investigations;
• granted Al Arabia television his first news organization interview and called Fatah Party leader and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbass in his first phone contact with any foreign leader.

And now he's appointed an anti-Israeli to the NIC.---DOB

The Obama Administration Sacrifices Israel
The Obama administration's decision to join the planning of the U.N.'s Durban II "anti-racism" conference has just taken a new twist: cover-up. On Friday, State Department officials and a member of the American Durban II delegation claimed the United States had worked actively to oppose efforts to brand Israel as racist in the committee drafting a Durban II declaration.

The trouble is that they didn't. . . .

Militants Drew Recruit in U.S., F.B.I. Says
The F.B.I. director, Robert S. Mueller III, said Monday that a Somali-American man who was one of several suicide bombers in a terrorist attack last October in Somalia had apparently been indoctrinated into his extremist beliefs while living in the United States.

“It appears that this individual was radicalized in his hometown in Minnesota,” Mr. Mueller said, speaking at a meeting of the Council on Foreign Relations. Minneapolis claims the country’s largest Somali population.

Where do you think this fellow got "radicalized"? In the First Baptist Church? Or do you maybe think it could've been by an imam in a mosque?---DOB

Lion's Den: The deceits of Bridges TV
By DANIEL PIPES
On the occasion of its launch in 2004 from near Buffalo, New York, the Muslim television channel Bridges TV won the enthusiastic support of secretary of state Colin Powell's media assistant, Stuart Holliday: "I laud your expression of interest in promoting understanding and tolerance." And so it went; Bridges TV also met with euphoric media coverage, uncritical academic reaction and blessings from sports giants like Muhammad Ali and Hakeem Olajuwan.

From the start, however, Bridges TV amounted to a lie. . . .

Translation of "promoting understanding and tolerance": snooker the stupid Yanks.---DOB
