This Buffalo, New York, thing where a Muslim man is insulted by the woman. She commits adultery. She divorces, whatever. He has the right to kill her. Is this widely accepted in the Muslim world? You know, do moderate Muslims [and who was the last “moderate Muslim you met?] believe this?

OC Muslims say FBI surveillance has a chilling effect

Well, I wonder, Mr. Turbi, don’t you think maybe the reason the FBI is there is because of behavior displayed by Muslims in this country? Perhaps if you all weren’t quite so deceptive, you wouldn’t have this problem. Mr. Turbi, start a movement. Call it, Get Jihad Out of Islam.

The University of Colorado's Muslim Students' Association this week hosts a series of campus events that its members hope will cast Islamic faith and culture in a more accurate and positive light.

CU's Islam Awareness Week opens tonight with a keynote address entitled "Deconstructing Islamophobia" by New York Times best-selling author Reza Aslan.

Wilders' Freedom Party Leads Polls
According to a recent opinion poll, if parliamentary elections were held today, the Freedom Party (PVV) headed by right-wing populist leader Geert Wilders would become the largest party in the Netherlands.

It would win 27 seats in the 150-seat parliament, as opposed to the nine it currently has. The Christian Democrats - the largest party in the governing coalition - would win only 26 seats.

So let us hope the Republicans do as well in the U.S. in 2010.
